In just two years FOUND has forged a reputation for producing breathtaking events across the city, amongst those pioneering the melting pot of sub genres that came to define the re-birth of house and techno in the capital and London's love for all things electronic.
After launching with a series of 15 underground club events, one-of-kind street parties have seen the likes of genre-defining godfathers Frankie Knuckles, Kevin Saunderson, MK and Todd Edwards perform in remarkable outdoor surroundings. House queen Maya Jane Coles headlined 2013’s debut FOUND Festival in the heart of Shoreditch. Dyed Soundorom, Dusky and Deetron are some of the many others to have performed at FOUND’s celebrated warehouse after parties.
Since 2011 FOUND has presented over 200 truly influential artists.
As FOUND advances expect to be surprised by some game-changing one off events as the brand embarks on a musical journey across London in some of the city’s most exciting locations, with unrivalled parties and collaborations at the foundation (with a capital F:) of underground electronic club culture.
After the sensational sell-out street party last September and its sold-out festival debut in Shoreditch earlier this year, FOUND are bringing two of history's greatest US house legends to east London for a Street Party like no other. Last year saw the likes of MK, Todd Edwards, Huxley and Paul Woolford grace a unique City Street from daytime 'til sunset.
On Saturday 21st September FOUND welcomes Detroit techno originator, Kevin Saunderson - who has been influential in his shaping of techno and house music as we know it - to inform and educate the masses on how the music has travelled since its inception 2 decades ago. As one half of Inner City (the duo behind the seminal track 'Good Life') Kevin Saunderson has played a pivotal part in shaping the disco, funk and soul sounds of the 70s into the inspired sounds we hear & love today. A rare breed and true living legend.
Joining Saunderson is the Godfather of House Music, Frankie Knuckles, who has played an unprecedented role in revolutionising house music's journey since day dot. Expect the NYC-born, Detroit-based producer to flavour your Saturday afternoon with 3 hours of informed and considered underground sounds to enlighten your life and illustrate just how and why house music is the uplifting force it's grown into.
Support comes from the fresh talents of Voyeur, who’s 2012 debut EP ‘Blame It On The Youth’ was snapped up by Kerri Chandler’s Madtech imprint. Their opening Main Stage set at FOUND festival in June was praised by party-goers, with the pair looking set for big things to come. Opening proceedings will be FOUND’s favoured identical duo, party starters The Menendez Brothers.
With extended sets from the most prestigious house & techno originators, well-stocked bars, delicious food and the most unique of locations, FOUND events sell-out in advance - make sure you're part of it.
The secret street party location & travel information will be announced shortly before the event. The party will be taking place in a central Shoreditch location with numerous travel options. The warehouse after party will be taking place in the same area, less than 5 minutes walk away.
As Frankie Knuckles closes FOUND’s anticipated Shoreditch Street Party on Saturday 21st September, the doors at a nearby warehouse will be opening, as this stunning space prepares to welcome revellers to FOUND: The Warehouse After Party.
Having established an enviable reputation for full-throttled after parties, FOUND have assembled another choice line-up to keep party goers dancing until the sun comes up and crowning proceedings will be one of 2013’s biggest names in house music, Apollonia lynchpin Dyed Soundorom.
